TBB will only link program participants with employers that have records of sound labor practices, operating in stable areas.

Why isn’t TBB focusing on opening up job opportunities in Lebanon and Jordan?

There are other groups working on livelihoods projects or advocating for additional employment opportunities for refugees within hosting countries. TBB is focusing on opening up a new safe and legal pathway for individuals displaced from their home countries by conflict through labor migration. No other organization is currently working on this.

Can a participant choose the destination country?

The destination country options will depend on where there are employment opportunities that correspond with a person’s skill sets and the legal visa processes for skilled workers.  TBB will provide detailed information about the opportunity and it will be the decision of the candidate if they wish to accept the opportunity in a given destination country.

What is the likelihood for a registrant of getting a job and moving for international employment through this program?

TBB will initially place a small number of program participants in international employment to prove that this new pathway is viable. Despite the limited number of initial job placements TBB can facilitate in the pilot project stage, TBB seeks to register a large number of people in our Talent Catalog in order to show international employers the breadth and depth of talent among those who are displaced from their home country by conflict. As we expand the number of skill sets and diverse experiences among TBB registrants, we can use the Talent Catalog to continue to work on expanding the number of employer partnerships around the world.  Over the course of the next several years, TBB plans to scale up to include larger numbers in our program. TBB hopes to eventually make this pathway accessible to individuals impacted by conflict all over the world.

Does TBB offer education or scholarship opportunities?

The work of TBB focuses on international employment. However, TBB’s partners, such as SPARK, provide higher education and scholarship opportunities. See our resource list for more information on scholarships.

What if I don’t have a valid passport?
